The standard of care for most patients is to provide fluoride treatments at least once per year to help prevent cavities. In the same way that having a flu shot doesn’t guarantee you won’t get sick, a fluoride treatment doesn’t guarantee you won’t get a cavity. However, this small investment of $40 per year can greatly reduce the risk of decay, and can also be a game-changer in reducing sensitivity.
We truly believe in the benefits of fluoride and that is why we are recommending this treatment for all of our patients. Our Dentists and Hygienists are available to answer any questions you may have.
Although all fluoride treatments have been proven to be beneficial, the fluoride varnish that we are now using proved to be more effective than the rest in an ADA Professional Product Review. Test results and article available upon request.
