Stressed About Your Tooth Extraction?

If you have to have a tooth extracted for any reason, it can seem like a scary experience. Our job as dentists is to help you keep your teeth happy and healthy, but when there is one that needs to be removed, we are here for you!

How to Prepare for a Tooth Extraction

If you’re stressed about your upcoming appointment or if you know you need to have a tooth extracted, but you’ve been putting it off because of stress, we want you to know that we do everything to make you as comfortable as possible.

1. Be Calm and Don’t Worry!

We do these types of procedures all the time! We know that patients get anxious about the potential pain, but we administer enough medication that you won’t feel a thing during your procedure.

2. Stay on Your Medication

In most cases, you are still able to take your daily medications if you have any. There are some exceptions to this, but we will let you know if that is the case.

3. Eat Before Your Appointment

Having a full belly will help you relax, and then you won’t go hungry before or during your appointment. And, you won’t be struggling to eat after your appointment while the medication wears off.
